Said about BootIt Bare Metal as an alternative
Bare Metal is far more than BCDEditor. Only requires electricity to run it. Not .NET or other bs.
It runs its own operating system directly from the boot partition where it is installed, therefore not needing either Windows or Linux to load before you can configure everything. It also means it can fix itself, without loading an OS, if anything goes wrong. And if the boot partition itself gets messed up, it can automatically fix itself from the original installation pendrive.

Works good. Real good. Rediscovered my 32gb SD card where other recovery apps - including open source TestDisk - failed. Background: like an idiot, I deleted the only active volume from my sd card. BootIt found it in a flash, and fixed it just as fast. Still didn't show up in Win10 file explorer (yes, all software uptodate including drivers via sdi tools, malware free via malwarebytes etc) but was able to write a FAT32 partition, which TestDisk was then able to see. A paid app, but the free 30 day trial does not appear to have any limits, at least not the bootit bare metal bit, so can be used in an emergency.JonJon1qazadded BootIt Bare Metal as alternative(s) to EasyUEFI
