What is Bookmark Sidebar?
Bookmark Sidebar is an extension for Chrome, which adds a toggleable sidebar with all your bookmarks on the left or right side of your screen. You can sort, edit, delete or rearrange your bookmarks easily from within the sidebar. There are many configuration options and the appearance is fully customizable.
Note: It is open source and free but has an extra "Premium" feature to access more settings and customizations.

If you're looking to improve on the side panel bookmarks then this is perfect. It has a search bar, a decent sort function, the ability to toggle it open via mouseover or clicking the edge and more.
What I like compared to other bookmark managers is after searching for something, I sometimes want to know which folder it's in, hover over the results and you'll see the folder in the tooltip.
It does what I want it to do and some. I can see some improvements though. It would be nice if there was an option in settings to do some cleaning or sort the entire bookmarks or specific folders in alphabetical order sometimes to clean it up a little while still keeping user order.
