Pros:

  1. Valid URL, website present and functional as described.
  2. It is indeed free to sign up -- there is no paid tier or option.
  3. The entry in AlternativeTo has also been made by the developer, Kurt Tomlinson, himself.

Cons:

  1. This is one-man project to show of his web-development skills (see screenshot below)
  2. I couldn't find any other blogs or posts apart from those by the developer, Kurt Tomlinson and an Eva Tomlinson. Some of these posts even link back to Kurt's own domain - blog.kurttomlinson.com.

Verdict: You need to place all your trust in the developer who is also funding the hosting out of his own pocket. While the website has lasted over a decade, the risk of it collapsing remains.
