Blackbird information
What is Blackbird?
Blackbird is a software utility that enhances privacy and optimizes system performance for Windows users by blocking Windows telemetry and removing telemetry updates. It also eliminates built-in Windows advertising and preinstalled apps, prevents the download of sponsored software, and stops sharing of personal data. Additionally, it removes ID tracking tokens and disables data collection tasks to potentially boost PC performance. Blackbird is portable, requires no installation, and allows users to control its functions. It can restore the system to its previous state and is compatible with Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1, and 10. It's free, ad-free, and doesn't collect data. It's funded by donations and out-of-pocket if needed.

Comments and Reviews
A bit torn by this one ... the developer seems genuine enough, hoping to turn the app into a full time business via Proteon.
On the other hand, there are the malware alerts from 15 different scanners on VirusTotal, see: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/8c89913809b692dc8757ac80b406f333ef9fb0f2a1d5ef9323d9d0ad52df59ac/detection ... the developer does warn there will be detections but the variety of malware names this attracts is disconcerting, to say the least.
Again, the developer promises to open source the app, but is holding out for more public funding before he does so. I'd suggest that developers might find more joy open sourcing first, and then asking for update pay.
