It is the best alternative for BitWarden because it's cloud based, thus auto sync across devices. Open source. Privacy focused.
While Proton has existed for very longtime. Proton Pass service is fairly new compared to BitWarden. So some feature might be lacking. UI/UX feels more modern but usability is simply okay. This is totally subjective.
Premium feature comes free if you already have Proton Unlimited for their other services.
