What is Binary Code Translator?

Binary Code Translator is a free web application for converting binary data, checking character encodings, and reading binary digits from images.

It converts text to binary and binary to text using UTF-8 or ASCII. Users can inspect individual bytes, adjust grouping and separators, and copy or download results. Additional tools support unsigned binary and decimal integer conversion, A1Z26, and international ITA2 five-bit codes.

The image reader uses Tesseract.js to recognize printed binary digits. Users can crop, rotate, and adjust an image, then review and edit the detected digits before decoding them. Image processing takes place in the browser; images are not uploaded to a server for recognition. OCR can misread digits, so results require manual checking.

The application also includes a binary graphic generator with PNG, SVG, and TXT exports, a printable ASCII reference, worked examples, and an introductory guide to binary encoding.

No account or subscription is required. The interface and learning resources are in English, while UTF-8 conversion supports Unicode text.
