Beacon Events is a free events calendar plugin for WordPress, built for sites that need recurring events without paying for a premium add-on.
Recurring rules follow the iCalendar RRULE standard: daily, weekly, monthly ("second Tuesday", "last Friday") and yearly, with an end date or a count, skipped dates, and single dates you can cancel or move. Dates are expanded in the event's own timezone, so daylight saving never shifts a class by an hour.
It imports events, venues, organizers, categories, images and recurring rules from The Events Calendar and Events Manager in one click, and from CSV files. Nothing in the old plugin is deleted, and old links are redirected.
Google Calendar and ICS feeds sync on a schedule with a log of what each sync changed. List, month and day views are available as blocks, shortcodes or an Elementor widget, with an optional filter bar, category colours, schema.org event markup and online events with a join link. Styles follow the site's theme and load only on pages that show events.
The calendar is free and GPL. An optional paid add-on adds RSVPs and paid tickets through Stripe or WooCommerce, waitlists, reminder emails and attendee export.
