Barello keeps a household's wine, spirits and cocktails in one shared inventory, so everyone in the house is looking at the same shelf rather than one person's private list.
Every wine carries a drinking window, and the window adjusts for where the bottle actually lives. Published drinking windows quietly assume a cellar at about 13 degrees, which almost nobody has. Barello asks where you live, reads ten years of daily temperatures for your town, then asks whether each bottle sits in a cupboard, on a shelf, in a wine fridge or in the garage, and whether that room is air conditioned. The dates move accordingly. Above about 25 degrees it stops quoting a nearer date and says the wine is being spoiled rather than aged, and it never stretches a window, because the published dates already assume good storage.
On the cocktail side, you tick the bottles you own and it lists the drinks you can make right now, plus which single bottle would unlock the most new ones. There are also non-alcoholic recipes built the same way, minus the spirit.
