What is AudioScout?
AudioScout is a lightweight local-first sound effects workflow application for macOS and Windows. It is designed for sound editors, podcast producers, video editors, game-audio creators and other professionals who work with large local SFX libraries.
AudioScout indexes sound-effect folders on local or external drives, allowing users to search across their libraries, audition sounds instantly with keyboard navigation, build a selection queue and export chosen files directly into a project.
For compatible Pro Tools workflows, AudioScout can also send selected sounds directly into the session workflow.
AudioScout does not require an account, subscription or proprietary cloud library. Users keep their existing sound libraries on their own drives and use AudioScout purely as a fast workflow utility.
