What is AudioGrade?

AudioGrade is a macOS application for audio file analysis, ideal for collectors, mastering engineers, archivists, and listeners. The app conducts local analysis to keep the original audio safe and unaltered. It measures various audio aspects like loudness, dynamic range, clipping, stereo balance, and phase correlation. It also includes a system for organizing technical reports and an optional iCloud synchronization feature for accessing reports across multiple Macs.

The app's Visualizer displays spectrograms, waveforms, and frequency profiles, while the Detector function identifies potential evidence of previous lossy compression. However, these findings are indicative and not definitive proof of a file's history.

The Pro version offers additional features such as playlist analysis, unlimited reports and scans, CSV exports, and advanced CPU and memory controls. It includes comparison tools and advanced visualization options. However, Live Audio cannot be saved or exported. The Pro Spatial Visualizer supports multichannel audio and ADM BWF/BW64 masters.

AudioGrade supports a variety of audio formats and offers SACD ISO extraction capabilities to preserve DSD as DSF or convert to supported PCM formats.
