One of the best apps to selfhost! I love it!

What is Audiobookshelf?

Audiobookshelf is an open-source server for audiobooks and podcasts, with apps for Android and iOS. It streams all audio formats, allows podcast search and addition, auto-downloads episodes, and supports multiple users with customized permissions. It tracks user progress across devices, automatically detects library updates, and allows bulk uploads of books and podcasts. It backs up metadata, executes daily backups, supports Chromecast, fetches metadata and cover art, includes a chapter editor, and merges audio files into m4b format. It also supports ebooks in various formats, allows sending ebooks to devices like Kindle, and supports open RSS feeds for podcasts and audiobooks.
