What is Atom Budget?
Atom Budget plans your money around your paychecks, however often they come. Weekly, every two weeks, twice a month, monthly, or a mix of incomes on different schedules: you enter each income and each bill once, with its schedule, and the app assigns every bill to the paychecks that fund it. When a paycheck lands it tells you how much of it already belongs to bills, what is pledged to savings goals, and what is genuinely yours. Months with an extra paycheck are planned for before they arrive.
The home screen leads with one number: what is safe to spend today, which is your balance minus everything your upcoming bills still need. Connect a bank and it checks that number against your real accounts and says plainly when they disagree. Flag any income or bill and the app asks, two days ahead, whether the amount still holds, which makes it workable for variable pay, tips, and side work.
It includes a calendar of every paycheck and bill, savings goals with a date, an optional 50/30/20 style spending target with five presets, categories, and dark mode. It never moves money or changes your budget on its own. It suggests, and you decide.
The budgeting engine is free with no card and no time limit. Atom Budget Pro, at $8 a month or $80 a year, adds bank sync: importing recurring bills from your statements and checking your plan against real balances. Available on the web and on Android through Google Play, with no ads.
