AppArmor Alternatives

    AppArmor is described as 'A Mandatory Access Control (MAC) system which is a kernel (LSM) enhancement to confine programs to a limited set of resources'. There are five alternatives to AppArmor for Linux, Self-Hosted solutions, Fedora, FreeBSD and Xen. The best alternative is Qubes OS, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like AppArmor are SELinux (Free, Open Source), CLIP OS (Free, Open Source), Vulture (Free, Open Source) and grsecurity (Paid).
