What is Anthea: Couples Questions?
Anthea is an iOS app for couples, written by a practising clinical couples and family therapist.
Each day both partners receive the same five short questions and answer them separately. Neither partner can see the other's answer until they have both written — so no one is anchored by the other's response. At the end of the week the answers become a written analysis of that week: the essence of the week, a strength, an area worth attention, a pattern noticed, and one next step. There are no scores, no badges and no ranking of the relationship.
The question library is grounded in six established frameworks: the Gottman method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment theory, Sternberg's triangular theory of love, Chapman's five love languages, and positive psychology. Beyond the weekly analysis there are month, quarter, half-year and year reviews, so longer arcs become visible rather than only single weeks.
Anthea is available in English and Turkish. The Turkish question library was written in Turkish rather than translated. One partner's subscription makes both partners Premium; the daily questions are free.
Anthea is not therapy, does not diagnose or treat anything, and is not a crisis service.
