What is Alphorn?

Alphorn is an open source notification router. Point any service that can send a webhook at Alphorn, and it will fan the message out to Slack, Discord, Telegram, Email, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, and multiple other destinations — with filtering, retries, rate limits, and delivery history built in.

Some usecases:

  • Backup job failed => call alphorn webhook, get notification in Slack
  • Uptime monitor reports server is down => call alphorn, get notification in Teams + Telegram
  • New version released on GitHub => call alphorn, send notification to your subscribers on Telegram, Slack, and Discord
  • Contact from submitted on Website => call alphorn, get notification via email + teams channel
  • You don't want to get notifications anymore via Telegram => change config in Alphorn from Telegram to Matrix
