If, for some reason, you still use a phone with Java Mobile, this app is a must-have.

It's amazing how well it works.

A very beautiful way to read epub ebooks on my Nokia E72. There are far too few epub readers for the Nokia S60 platform - there are, in fact, exactly 2 - and this is the only one that allows you to download books and store them on your SD card.

What is Albite READER?

Albite Reader is an open-source e-book reader for Java Mobile released under the Apache 2.0 License and developed by Svetlin Ankov. Works with EPUB, txt and (x)html files.

Implemented features include:

anti-aliased bitmap font in four sizes with over 850 glyphs, including Latin, Cyrillic and Greek; hyphenation for 29 languages; 23 character encodings, including UTF-8 and most of ISO-8859 and Windows-125x; animated touch-guided scrolling; horizontal and vertical scrolling; on-touch dictionary look up; units conversion; portrait and landscape view; images and basic styling; color profiles; portable book settings; bookmarks; table of contents.
