Comments and Reviews
Finally: krunner for non-KDE environments. Fast, simple and regularly updated.
Albert gains points for being Qt based and written with extensibility by plugins in mind (out of box it comes with Applications, Calculator, Chrome bookmarks, External extensions, Files, Firefox bookmarks, MPRIS Control, Secure Shell, System, Terminal, VirtualBox and WebSearch plugins), all configurable using an unified and well designed dialog box. Albert is also themeable and desktop environment agnostic, being great for users of FVWM, Fluxbox and other lightweight window managers. The amount of proposals, icon exhibition and terminal command can also be changed.
Why just 4/5?
Because it freezes completely or becomes unresponsive at times.
Is this still the case with recent versions? I always try to hotfix such bugs. If so let me know. Join the chats or post an issue on github.
Albert is very very powerful and useful. Thank you so much!
overall a great alternative to CerebroApp if that's what you're looking for. its an excellent open source, cross platform clone of Apple's Spotlight
quick, pretty. all you need if you are used to spotlight :)
