Airwave turns your Plex library into custom, always-on live TV channels you can watch on native apps for every screen. Instead of scrolling a list of titles, you flip through channels on a familiar TV guide, and each one plays on a rolling schedule built from your own movies and shows.
You build a channel however you think about it: a metadata filter (genre, decade, rating, network), a set of Plex playlists or collections, or a hand-picked list of titles. An AI lineup builder can design a whole set of channels from your library in one go. Every channel gets a scrolling guide, optional between-program bumpers, and a 10-foot player with DVR-style rewind and fast-forward.
Unlike IPTV-style tools, Airwave direct-plays from Plex and only transcodes when a device actually needs it, using your own Plex Media Server, so picture quality stays high and your server stays light. It also ships real native apps: Apple TV, iPad, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, LG webOS, and Samsung, alongside desktop apps for Windows, macOS, and Linux and a player that runs in any browser.
Airwave is free to self-host and free in the browser. The native store apps are an optional one-time purchase for convenience; nothing is locked behind a subscription.
