Fantastic app that adds a ton of utility.

Works great and does so consistently. Also looks really good. UI is intuitive and easy to navigate. Has saved a ton of time and added functionality that I didn't realize I was missing.

Adding custom actions is easy for something so powerful. AppleScript opens up a lot of possibilities here.

For example - I created an action that opens a highlighted file path in Finder...but if the highlighted directory doesn't exist, it steps up the path tree until it finds one that does. Simple enough but very very useful.

The dev is also extremely responsive to support requests. I've asked questions both on Reddit and through the built in Chat Support. In both cases I received a response in minutes.

Can't recommend this enough.

ActionClip has genuinely saved me a bunch of time. I select text, trigger an action, and it's done - no more copying things into other apps, waiting for a tool to load, or pasting results back. What used to be a handful of steps is now a single one.

What I appreciate most is how easy it is to use. The setup took minutes, the actions work exactly the way you'd expect, and it all happens right where I'm already working.

It's one of those tools that quietly removes friction from the whole day - you stop noticing the busywork because it's just gone. Highly recommend it to anyone who works with text all day.

it seems to be an excellent alternative to Popclip. Developer is very reactive

Just discovered ActionClip and honestly, I’m surprised I hadn’t heard about it sooner! 🤯 It’s one of those Mac tools that immediately makes you think, “Why isn’t this built into macOS?” Being able to select text and instantly rewrite, translate, summarize, search, or run custom actions without constantly switching between apps is incredibly convenient. Such a simple idea, but it can seriously speed up everyday workflows. Definitely one of my favorite Mac finds lately! 🔥

Great app, and it keeps getting better! What I love most is the thoughtful UI design, as well as some ActionClips I couldn't find in the major alternative. I also love that you can easily create your own ActionClips rather than waiting for the developer to add them, which is a huge standout feature. Can't wait for the marketplace feature to drop to see what kinds of clips and ideas everyone comes up with!

For a long time, the experience that Action Clip gives to its users has been the sole province of Pop Clip. The release of Action Clip was a truly significant event. The app is still in its infancy, but its growth has been amazingly fast. Users are actively making suggestions, and the developers are examining them and actively polishing them. It already has some advantages over Pop Clip at the moment (e.g., creation of actions by AI), and I am very much looking forward to the future of this app.
