Access Analog - Real Analog Gear in the Cloud

Access Analog is a cloud-based audio platform that gives musicians, producers, mixing engineers, and mastering engineers remote access to real professional analog hardware directly from their DAW.

At the center of the service is the Analog Matrix, a plugin and standalone application that connects your computer to physical analog equipment located in Access Analog’s racks. It is not an emulation or hardware-modeling plugin. When you adjust a knob, switch, or parameter in the Analog Matrix, robotics control the corresponding settings on the actual hardware in real time.

Your audio is streamed over the internet from the Analog Matrix, processed through real transformers, tubes, discrete components, compressors, EQs, saturators, and other analog circuitry, and then streamed back to you. This allows you to incorporate the sound and nonlinear behavior of genuine analog equipment into a modern digital workflow without owning, maintaining, wiring, or physically accessing the hardware.

Access Analog provides access to 65+ devices from more than 30 manufacturers, including Rupert Neve Designs, Manley Labs, Solid State Logic, Universal Audio, Empirical Labs, Chandler, AMS Neve, Bettermaker, API, Louder Than Liftoff, Pultec, and others.

How the Analog Matrix Works

Use it in your DAW or as a standalone application. Load the Analog Matrix like a conventional audio plugin in a supported DAW, or use the standalone application for file-based processing and workflows such as batch processing.

Build custom analog signal chains. Choose the hardware you want to use and connect up to eight devices in virtually any order. Equipment can be added, removed, and reordered while you work, without manually patching physical hardware.

Control physical hardware from software. Controls in the Analog Matrix are robotically linked to the real devices. This combines genuine analog processing with workflow features normally associated with software, including full recall of hardware settings, custom presets, DAW automation, fast routing, and parallel processing.

Process and capture audio in real time or offline. Audio can be processed interactively and recorded as it streams back through the Analog Matrix, or users can take advantage of offline rendering for file-based workflows.

The result is a hybrid approach to audio production: the convenience, recall, and flexibility of an in-the-box workflow combined with processing through actual analog hardware found in professional studios.
