Mixroadie

Mixroadie is an AI-based mixing and mastering assistant for REAPER (version 6.83 or later) on macOS and Windows. It analyzes each track and the whole mix to find issues like low-end rumble, harsh resonances, sibilance, phase problems, clicks, inconsistent levels, and a master that is too quiet or clipping. It then suggests corrections with reasoning and before/after statistics for each fix. Users can deselect any changes before applying them, and the software ensures the project is backed up before any modifications.

After mixing, Mixroadie recommends a mastering chain with tone, glue compression, and a limiter for the desired loudness level. Users can specify desired sound qualities like "more air on the vocal", "punchier drums", or "sounds like a 70s tape record". The software adjusts the appropriate tracks accordingly and manages timing, pitch correction, repair, and matching to a reference track.

Your audio data is never uploaded for privacy reasons. The AI model operates on the user's machine, requiring no account or cloud storage. Other AI options include LM Studio or Ollama, or users can use their own Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini API key. Mixroadie is also compatible with MCP clients such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
