What is 8PWD?

8PWD 2026 is an offline password manager for Apple devices including iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It stores passwords, two-factor codes, and passkeys on your device, secured with Face ID or Touch ID. No account creation or syncing is required, and there's no developer server that could potentially leak information. The App Store privacy label confirms "Data Not Collected".

Features include one-tap login, passkey creation and storage, leak detection, security check-up, account deletion guide, site guide, easy import from various sources, family share, Wi-Fi passwords as QR codes, bank cards and identities fillable from the keyboard, and easy device transition.

Backups use the .8pwd format, with specifications published under CC0. Your data is never locked in and plain CSV export is always available.

The data is protected with AES-256-GCM encryption, and the key is generated on the device and stored in the system Keychain. Additional anti-theft encryption is available. No analytics, crash reporting, or third-party SDKs are used.
