Obsidian 1.14.2 lets you open files outside your vault
Obsidian 1.14.2 for desktop adds an “Open file from outside the vault” command, letting users view any file on their computer in the current window.
The app can also appear in the operating system’s Open with menu and be set as the default app for Markdown files after installing the latest installer.
Elsewhere, fuzzy matching is now always used for link suggestions and Quick Switcher searches, while Bases kanban gains folder-column card moves and folder-aware note creation.
