Mac App Store apps can now drop Intel Mac support

Apple says Mac App Store developers can now remove Intel Mac support from universal macOS apps that require macOS 13 or later.

The option lets eligible developers distribute Apple silicon-only builds through the store. Apple says doing so can simplify development and reduce an app’s download and on-device size.
