GrapheneOS claims Android 17 QPR1 APIs remain exclusive to Pixel devices
GrapheneOS reports Android 17 QPR1 adds app developer APIs that remain exclusive to Pixel software rather than being released to the Android Open Source Project.
It also claims that September 2026 Pixel patches for standard Android platform components are being withheld from other OEMs until the release of Android 17 QPR2, scheduled for December 2026.
GrapheneOS further states that it has completed a QPR1 port but cannot release it, and is instead backporting Pixel firmware, drivers and HALs to Android 17.
