AWS introduces Pizza Bot for long-running AI agent handoffs

AWS introduced Pizza Bot, an open-source inbox for AI agents that continue working in the background after a chat ends.

The local-first project is built with DeepAgents and LangGraph, and is designed to surface task progress and points where a person needs to respond.

The Pizza Bot project is a community effort rather than an AWS service, so users are responsible for hosting, backups, updates, and support.
