Linux Mint plans full Wayland support and security updates
Linux Mint’s next release will offer fully supported Wayland in Cinnamon, moving past its experimental status and addressing multiple stability issues.
Security updates for CVE-2026-59159 in mintupdate have been delivered to all maintained and EOL versions.
Additional improvements include system-wide hardware acceleration, full hiDPI support, and streamlined fingerprint login.
