ByteDance introduces Seedream 5.0 Pro, its new advanced multimodal image creation model

ByteDance has launched Seedream 5.0 Pro, a new multimodal image creation model that, according to the company, is more focused on production design than simple prompt based generation. The release brings four main upgrades: advanced information visualization, region specific editing, improved realism and textures, and native multilingual input and output.

The company has presented Seedream 5.0 Pro as a model built for creators, designers, marketers, educators, product teams, and developers who need dense layouts, localized text, controlled edits, and reusable design assets. This is mainly because the model can turn data, concepts, and long text into structured visuals such as infographics, posters, UI mockups, educational materials, and commercial assets. Compared with previous Seedream models, ByteDance highlights stronger image text alignment, better structural coherence, improved text rendering, and higher visual quality. You can see some examples here.

For editing, the model supports point, lasso, and box selection, along with sketches, color swatches, material references, and multi image inputs. This allows users to modify specific regions without redrawing the full composition. It also supports layer separation, splitting layouts into editable components while restoring hidden background areas when needed. Seedream 5.0 Pro supports more than 10 languages, including right to left layouts and accents, while developer access is being prepared through BytePlus ModelArk with support for single image and multi image output from a prompt.
