Marknote 1.6 adds initial sub-folder support, background blur effect, and emoji completion
Marknote 1.6 is now available, bringing new organizational and productivity features to this rich text note-taking application. Initial sub-folder support has been introduced, enabling deeper note organization, though users currently need to create sub-folders with a file manager like Dolphin, as in-app creation is not yet supported. The development team has signaled that further improvements are planned for this feature.
Following these changes, each notebook now visibly displays the number of notes it contains. The command bar has also been updated to let users search for notes across all notebooks, improving workflow for users with large collections.
Expanding the app’s interface customization, an optional background blur effect can be applied to the editor, echoing design options found in other KDE applications. For those looking for enhanced expressiveness, the text editor now offers emoji completions, making emoji insertion quicker and more straightforward.
In addition to these main feature updates, Marknote 1.6 incorporates various minor bug fixes, small code refactoring efforts, and improved translations, resulting in a smoother and more polished user experience.
