KDE's note-taking app MarkNote launches v1.2 wth many exciting new features & enhancements
MarkNote, KDE's rich text note-taking and organizing application, has unveiled its 1.2 version. The latest release introduces features such as the option to select a custom folder for note storage and the ability to alter note sorting from alphabetical to date-based.
The 1.2 version of MarkNote also renders the sidebar collapsible and introduces a focus mode, displaying only the editing page. Furthermore, users can now open any Markdown files directly from the file browser or console, enabling MarkNote to function as a straightforward Markdown editor.
MarkNote 1.2 supports Markdown files with front matter, a prevalent method for injecting metadata to Markdown in static website generators like Hugo and Jekyll. The new version also enables the creation of tables, transforms inline Markdown to rich text as you type, and allows for font customization in the editor. Users can now also create sketches directly within MarkNote.
Finally, MarkNote 1.2 is fully compatible with Plasma Mobile. Nightly builds for Windows and macOS are now available, and the Linux version has been enhanced with global menu support.
