Koofr unveils redesigned iOS app with Files integration and automatic background backups

Koofr has announced a completely rebuilt iOS app focused on requested features and a refreshed user interface. The redesign aims to provide a smoother and more user-friendly experience for Apple device owners of this privacy-focused European cloud service. Integration with the native Files app is now available, making it possible to manage Koofr files directly through the iOS file system, including opening, editing, saving, and organizing content as if it were stored locally.

Building on these core changes, Koofr now allows automatic background backups for photos and videos. Once enabled, uploads occur seamlessly in the background with no noticeable impact to the user. The update also introduces multi-file upload capabilities and allows saving files from other applications straight to Koofr without opening the app itself. For greater control over photo uploads, users may choose between retaining the original HEIC file or converting to JPEG seamlessly.

Following these workflow improvements, users benefit from the ability to delete or undelete all files in trash simultaneously, as well as see labels on files and folders within the app. The release also brings advanced search features, enabling searches by file type or label. Additional link management functions and activity views further enhance file oversight for Koofr users.
