Freepik used to be a useful stock image search which supported photographers and illustrators, while offering many of the assets for free. There has been a year or two of seeing AI generated images appearing in search results (though they used to be marked as AI, and there was a filter you could add to the search box to remove all the AI images). Since the rebrand to Magnific the filter is gone, and the front page is constantly asking you to generate assets rather than use existing REAL stock images taken by REAL PHOTOGRAPHERS. Why would I want a slop image from a stock image search? I no longer recommend this service.
