Expo SDK 56 brings stable Expo UI, faster builds, and React Native 0.85
Expo SDK 56 is now available with production-ready Expo UI APIs, including stable universal components for Android, iOS, and web.
This release notably reduces iOS and Android build times via prebuilt modules and experimental precompiled headers.
Developers gain drop-in replacements for widely used community libraries, and the update adopts React Native 0.85 and React 19.2 with Hermes v1 enabled by default.
New tools also streamline native module development and TypeScript integration.
