Tuta Drive enters closed beta with end-to-end encryption and quantum-secure cloud storage
Tuta, the company known for its privacy-focused products Tuta Mail and Tuta Calendar, has announced the closed beta rollout of Tuta Drive, its upcoming quantum-secure cloud storage solution. Currently available on an invite-only basis, this phase allows selected existing users to begin testing the new product. While access is limited for now, the Tuta team plans to expand invitations to more users over the coming months.
Tuta Drive uses quantum-resistant end-to-end encryption and Tuta’s zero-knowledge architecture to secure all stored files. This ensures data protection not just from third parties but also from Tuta itself. The service has been designed for individuals and businesses aiming to safeguard confidential documents, images, and data under strong privacy controls.
During the current beta, users are able to upload and store files including images and videos, sync their data across devices, and back up their content. At this stage, Tuta Drive is accessible only through Tuta Mail’s web client on both desktop and mobile platforms. Following the beta web launch, Tuta is preparing dedicated mobile apps for Android and iOS, along with desktop clients for Linux, Windows, and macOS. As with other Tuta products, Tuta Drive operates free from ads, tracking, or artificial intelligence.
