Sniffnet 1.5 adds per-program monitoring, custom IP blacklist alerts, and traffic previews
Sniffnet 1.5 introduces a major upgrade for users who need more granular visibility into their network activity. The release lets users identify all applications and programs currently using network bandwidth, addressing one of the most requested features to date. This capability works across Windows, Linux, macOS, and BSD-based operating systems.
Building on this, Sniffnet now allows users to inspect all open network connections for each detected program. Users can mark frequently monitored programs as favorites, making them easier to identify and enabling targeted notifications when these applications generate new network activity.
To enhance security, Sniffnet 1.5 offers the ability to import custom IP blacklists. Users can load any list of suspicious addresses, such as public threat intelligence feeds or their own deny lists. The app issues real-time alerts when connections match entries in an imported blacklist, improving proactive response to potentially unwanted or malicious traffic.
Following these updates, the app’s main page has been reworked to display live traffic previews for every detected network adapter. This enables users to quickly pinpoint active network interfaces and view their data flow without initiating separate monitoring sessions for each adapter.
