Anthropic introduces Remote Control to Claude Code for seamless device handoffs
Anthropic has launched Remote Control for Claude Code, allowing users to begin a coding task in their terminal and pick it up seamlessly from another device or browser. This feature enables uninterrupted workflows, so tasks started at a desk can be continued while on the go from a phone, a tablet, or any web-enabled device.
With Remote Control, the code session remains running directly on the user's local machine throughout. Users gain the flexibility to operate sessions from the Claude app or chat interface, yet their code and files never leave their computer. Building on this, Remote Control connects claude.ai/code and the Claude app for iOS or Android to that same local Claude Code session, keeping conversations and commands perfectly synchronized across all connected devices.
While Claude Code on the web operates in the cloud, Remote Control sessions leverage the user's own environment. This allows full access to local files, servers, tools, and project configurations, visible and usable remotely via secure interfaces. Should a laptop sleep or the network drop, the system automatically restores the session once the connection is reestablished, supporting reliable, continuous development. Remote Control is currently offered in research preview for Max users, with Pro user access to follow.

My dad is literally to push AI Coding on me, I've used AI to show him most Coders don't AI now, but he keeps insisting they do!
