Day One introduces open-source CLI for journal automation

Day One has launched a beta command-line interface with JSON-first access to accounts, journals, entries, Daily Chat, and context items.

The open-source tool supports scripted reading and writing, saves new entries locally, and syncs them with a Day One account using the dayone sync command.

Optional AI agent skills add reusable flows for authentication, syncing, listing, and writing entries.
