Sync-in 1.10 adds Collabora Online integration, enhanced public links & Node.js 24 support
Sync-in 1.10 debuts integration with Collabora Online, expanding its support for collaborative editing and offering users a choice between ONLYOFFICE and Collabora Online as document editors. This expansion reflects a commitment to openness and technological neutrality, as Collabora Online provides native support for OpenDocument formats and ensures compatibility with Microsoft Office documents.
Building on these improvements, users now benefit from intelligent editor selection based on the document format and can define a default online editor through user preferences. Additionally, public link capabilities have been extended, enabling not only document downloads but also access, viewing, and editing, depending on the file format and assigned permissions.
Following these changes, Sync-in 1.10 has migrated its backend to Node.js 24 while maintaining compatibility with Node.js 22. This upgrade contributes to better stability and performance for users across the platform. In addition, lock management has been reinforced, improving compatibility between different document access modes and further supporting simultaneous collaboration.
Alongside these major updates, file opening and management workflows have been streamlined, and several general improvements and bug fixes have also been implemented, rounding out the release.
