Nuxt Studio 1.0 launches with several enhancements for in-production Nuxt website editing
Nuxt Studio 1.0 is now available, marking its first stable release for in-browser editing of Nuxt Content sites in production environments, two months after the initial alpha release. Following its earlier preview, the tool has been comprehensively rebuilt as a Nuxt module. This updated architecture means Nuxt Studio is fully free, open source, and self-hosted. The application runs alongside Nuxt Content sites and provides content management directly within the production environment.
Building on this foundation, Nuxt Studio introduces editing flexibility with both TipTap's rich-text editor and Monaco's code view, allowing users to switch modes based on their workflow. Git integration is now included, enabling users to commit changes directly to GitHub or GitLab repositories. Additionally, a new media management system supports uploading and previewing images and videos within the editor.
About authentication, the release implements options for GitHub, GitLab, Google OAuth, and custom providers, supporting a variety of organizational requirements. Users can also edit content locally without authentication, which simplifies rapid iteration and testing. As a result of collaboration with its community, Nuxt Studio now offers 22 translations ranging from Arabic to Ukrainian, extending its accessibility for global users.
