DietPi 10.10 drops Debian 11, adds Uptime Kuma & ownCloud Infinite Scale, and more

DietPi 10.10 has arrived as the latest release for this lightweight, Debian-based Linux distribution targeted at single board computers. With this update, DietPi raises its minimum supported Debian version to 12 “Bookworm”, discontinuing support for Debian 11 “Bullseye”. As a result, several single board computer families, including Sparky SBC, NanoPi M2/T2/Fire2, and NanoPi M3/T3/Fire3, are no longer supported due to aging vendor kernels. Direct upgrades to DietPi version 10 now require at least DietPi 8.0 as the starting version.

Alongside core system changes, DietPi 10.10 introduces two new pre-installed software offerings: Uptime Kuma, an open source, self-hosted uptime monitoring solution, and ownCloud Infinite Scale, a modern replacement for the classic ownCloud file sync and share platform. Following the removal of Debian 11 support, many older software packages are also deprecated, including RPi Cam Web Interface, classic ownCloud, and classic Pydio 8.

Building on these core updates, DietPi now appears as a selectable option in the Raspberry Pi Imager under “Other general-purpose OS”, supporting all Raspberry Pi devices. The Rocket NPU driver is now enabled for the Quartz64 board family. For those running Nginx on Debian “Trixie” or later, HTTP/2 syntax is revised and HTTP/3 with QUIC is now enabled. DietPi 10.10 also delivers eight bug fixes, code optimizations, and several visual and spelling refinements.
