AI prototyping tool MagicPath launches new Figma import tool with full visual fidelity
The AI-based website builder and prototyping tool MagicPath has launched Figma Connect, a feature that lets users copy Figma designs and paste them into MagicPath to generate interactive prototypes. Unlike Figma MCP based approaches, this tool does not require wiring up an external LLM or using plugins. Users start by opening a MagicPath project, connecting their Figma account, copying a selection in Figma, and pasting it into MagicPath.
Figma Connect can import frames, components, or individual elements, and it is intended to work for both small UI pieces and full screens. MagicPath says the conversion preserves pixel level layout details such as positioning, padding, and margins, and it automatically extracts and includes assets like images and icons. So far, results appear more accurate and closer to the original design than the Figma Make’s built-in tool.
Typography is preserved with Google Fonts carried over directly, while custom fonts are mapped to the closest match and remain editable. MagicPath also says it retains exact colors, gradients, and effects such as shadows, blurs, glass, texture, and noise as code, not flattened images. Figma tokens and variables are imported as CSS variables, and components are reflected in the code output. MagicPath recommends clear layer naming and logical grouping for better results.
Import limits depend on plan: Free includes 5 imports per month, Creator includes 25, and Pro is unlimited.
