Organic Maps adds route numbers at bus stops, redesigned buttons on iOS, and more

The latest update to Organic Maps introduces several enhancements, starting with refreshed OpenStreetMap data, bringing users the most current map information. In addition, route numbers are now displayed at bus stops, providing clearer guidance for public transit users. iOS users will notice redesigned Add Place to OpenStreetMap and Edit Place buttons, making it easier to contribute and edit map content on the platform.

Building on the visual aspects, the app now features updated outdoor map styles, with many icons converted from PNG to scalable SVG format. Power plant areas are rendered as industrial zones, and brown tourism points of interest (POIs) are now visible when dark mode is enabled. Additionally, power stations, substations, barriers, wicket gates, security offices, and guardhouses also appear on the map for increased infrastructure detail.

Following these additions, routing improvements include ladders now shown and incorporated into route planning, along with clearer roundabout navigation instructions. When adding intermediate stops, auto-zooming to the full route has been removed, streamlining the planning workflow. The update also includes updated translations, as well as other minor enhancements and bug fixes.
