Coherence X5 released with new app creation tool, expanded browser support, and more

BZG has released Coherence X5, delivering a major update to its macOS app for transforming websites into standalone desktop apps backed by Chrome-based browsers. The headline addition is an all-new creation tool designed for macOS 26 and Liquid Glass, while expanded support now covers Chromium and Ungoogled Chromium browsers. Notably, a redesigned Coherence extension aims to make Chrome-powered apps behave and feel more native than before.

Following these core upgrades, Coherence X5 enhances everyday use with modern conveniences. Users gain options for intelligent app naming, modern icon customization, faster setup flows, quick resume functionality, and a smarter library to manage their created site-specific browsers on macOS. The update also brings dark mode support, setup saving for reuse, link forwarding rules, tab restoration, a completely new settings panel, and the ability for created apps to receive automatic updates. Numerous bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements further refine the experience.

While current users benefit from these enhancements, those upgrading from Coherence X4 can access Coherence X5 at a special price for a limited period.
