Replit adds theme systems and Figma design imports to its AI app builder
Replit has added new design capabilities to make it easier to customize the look of AI or 'vibe-coded' apps built on its platform. Users can now create themes that manage colors, fonts, and interface properties across entire apps, with changes applied instantly to all components. These themes can be saved and reused in future projects, reducing repetitive styling work.
The update includes an adapted version of the open source project TweakCN for customizing shadcn-ui themes directly in Replit. Multiple themes or design systems can be created and applied, giving flexibility for different teams, projects, or client needs.
Enterprise customers get beta access to import full design systems from Figma or use existing design tokens and libraries, ensuring apps follow brand guidelines closely. These features are available for newly built apps, with support for older apps coming later. Any design update is applied instantly across connected apps, keeping both internal tools and customer-facing products consistent.
