PowerToys 0.93 brings several improvements to Command Palette, redesigned dashboard & more
Microsoft PowerToys version 0.93 introduces substantial performance gains and a redesigned dashboard. Command Palette sees the biggest upgrades, now using Ahead of Time compilation in the Windows App SDK to cut startup memory by 15%, load time by 40%, built-in extensions loading by 70%, and installation size by 55%—from 121 MB to 53.6 MB. Over 99 fixes and enhancements restore clipboard history, add keyboard shortcuts for context menus, enable pinning favorite apps, and bring run extension history support.
There's also a new settings dashboard design that separates quick launching, shortcuts, and utility toggles, making navigation faster and showing utility states at a glance. Utilities can be toggled or launched directly from the homepage. Mouse Highlighter adds a Spotlight mode that dims the screen except for a highlighted area around the cursor, with customizable color and transparency for presentations and recordings.
Engineering updates reduce UI and CI test times from hours to 90 minutes, expand test coverage for multiple utilities, and improve development reliability.

When it rolled out I was like : "time to let Run go and use Palette". And I literally spent 10 minutes using it and it began to crash again and again ! SO SAD (trump style :) )
