Parallels Desktop 26 adds macOS Tahoe support with new IT tools and disk space controls

Parallels Desktop 26 brings full compatibility with macOS Tahoe 26 and Windows 11 25H2, ensuring virtualization workflows remain stable as Apple introduces new background process restrictions. Setup routines and features like Coherence mode continue to work properly under the new system rules.

The update introduces a refreshed interface aligned with macOS Tahoe’s design, including new Dock elements and icons. A simplified versioning scheme now matches release numbers with the supported year and macOS version, making it easier for users to track updates. Windows virtual machines also gain visibility into Mac disk space, helping prevent slowdowns and crashes caused by storage issues.

For IT and business users, Parallels Desktop 26 maintains SOC 2 Type II compliance and adds enterprise features. These include documentation for single-app deployment, expanded Jamf integration to monitor and manage Windows updates, and a new Enterprise Management Portal for enforcing policies on shared folders, USB access, clipboard use, and network modes. Future updates will extend the portal with granular policy controls for centralized management of VM and OS configurations.
