Immich update lets users reset PIN, improves OAuth migration and album sync

Immich v1.138.0 introduces new self-service security features, including the ability for users to reset their own PIN codes by entering their current password. This eliminates the requirement for administrative intervention, except when password login has been disabled. In addition, OAuth settings have been enhanced to allow resetting OAuth IDs, simplifying authentication migration and avoiding login issues when changing providers.

Album asset synchronization now ensures new assets in shared albums are properly synchronized, a breaking change that addresses prior inconsistencies. Meanwhile, beta timeline users benefit from swipe-to-delete functionality for albums, improved upload and sync capabilities, and a new map view based on the SQLite database engine.

On the mobile app, improvements focus on content sharing and management: users can create shared links for albums, remove assets directly within the asset viewer bar, and edit user participation in shared albums. Logging has shifted to SQLite for better performance, and users can now batch-adjust dates and times relatively for multiple assets to enhance organization. Web updates mirror these changes by allowing PIN resets, OAuth ID resets, beta timeline image editing, and the removal of arbitrary search result limits to improve accessibility.
