CrossOver 25.1 improves Microsoft Office stability on Linux and refines gaming experience

CodeWeavers has released CrossOver 25.1, which enables users of macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS to run Windows programs and games more easily on their devices. The update targets both productivity and gaming. Office 365 users benefit from resolved Outlook login issues, and Office 2016 stability has been improved for Linux users.

Following these stability improvements, CrossOver 25.1 fixes recent launcher problems by resolving compatibility with EA and Ubisoft platforms after their recent updates. For gamers using controllers, the release addresses various compatibility issues, including problems with wired Xbox controllers and certain 8BitDo Pro models.

Complementing these changes, the compatibility database has been updated, improving the automatic detection feature, so more games can launch out of the box. Steam users will also notice corrections to previous connection problems, and downloads that stalled with msync enabled should now complete successfully. These updates aim to extend CrossOver's usability for a wider range of Windows applications and gaming scenarios across all supported platforms.
