Photoshop expands AI tools with Harmonize, Generative Upscale and Projects
Adobe has announced the expansion of its AI enhancements for Photoshop across desktop, web, and mobile platforms. These updates, powered by Adobe Firefly, aim to streamline editing processes and reduce manual workload for creators. The enhancements include several new features designed to improve efficiency and output quality for designers, artists, and content creators.
The new Harmonize tool, currently in beta, automatically adjusts lighting, color, and shadows when adding elements to a composition, helping create more realistic results with less manual work. Generative Upscale allows users to increase image resolution up to eight megapixels with minimal quality loss, making it easier to adapt visuals for different formats.
Updates to the Remove tool improve edge blending and background fills for cleaner object removal. The new Projects feature, in desktop beta, lets users group and share assets in a shared workspace, supporting better organization and collaboration in team workflows.
