Microsoft introduces its first Copilot appearance avatar with real-time animated reactions

Microsoft is rolling out its first Copilot Appearance Avatar, bringing real-time animated expressions to its Microsoft Copilot AI assistant. Available only to select users in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, the feature is exclusive to the consumer version of Copilot and does not yet reach enterprise audiences. This debut avatar appears as a blob-like animated character that responds with smiles and nods during voice interactions, offering a more engaging experience than the traditional static logo.

Users can access Copilot Appearance when voice mode is enabled at copilot.microsoft.com by clicking the microphone icon. The feature can be turned on or off within the voice settings menu, but if no toggle is visible, the user is not currently included in the test group. Microsoft notes that this experiment, part of Copilot Labs, aims to enhance non-verbal communication in voice conversations.

The avatar design has drawn comparisons to the iconics Microsoft Office's Clippy and Microsoft Bob. Microsoft AI CEO Mustafa Suleyman has hinted that Copilot could evolve into a Sim-like companion with its own identity and presence over time, and of course news avatars, including Crash Bandicoot

I could see it now. Clippy turned into a blob of cum that sinisterly nods and smiles as you ask about cancer treatments, then it proceeds to blackmail you.

That's Microsoft literally making AI a bubble... I don't know if it's an elaborate joke or if its marketing team really need some vacation.

Microshit itself is the joke. I'm laughing because I use Linux and don't have to deal with their nonsense.
